recently, im workin on the Kelab Alam Sekitar's afternoon session's project---->to make a piggy bank or also known as OWLY BANK. actually, i've done this for my demonstrative speech during Pre-Degree TESL. so now im proud of it.at least i can use ma past experience n knowledge for ma practicum now..this OWLY BANK was made of recycled materials that is newspaper..as can be seen below...
the eleven-layers of newspaper(papier mache) were paste onto the balloon to make it tough, firm n hard..
final layer of the papier mache will be coated wif 3 layers of unused toilet tissue(still in recycle theme.hehe..) poke the balloon and take it out from above..
paste the ''feathers" onto the papier mache carefully so that it come out beautiful...
use colourful and bright colour to make it appear more interesting
decorate it so that it looks like an attractive OWL
DO NOT FORGET to make a hole for the OWLY BANK for you to insert the money through it. hehe :-)
then, continue by covering all the balloon with the "feathers"
make the head of the OWL spiky to give a cool look.lolz..
create a pair of eyes n also a nose wif the suitable size. paste it on n that's it!
DONE!!
it is sooo easy..so try it..you can give it as a present or keep it as your safe..it takes time, but it worth it!!enjoy!
